ELC Meetups · Prague, Brno, Bratislava, Krakow · every month

ELC Speakers Exclusive Club.

One talk in front of 120+ senior engineering leaders and you are a member, for good. You keep the recording, the whole community hears your name, and when the conference main stage needs speakers, members get the first call. 40+ editions in, nobody has ever bought their way into this club.

Watch past meetup talks

First talk of your life or your fiftieth. We pick on the story, not the speaking resume.

Be part of the club

Entry costs one meetup talk. Everything below stays with you.

  • 120+ senior leaders in the room
  • Shortcut to the conference main stage
  • Pro recording on YouTube
  • Promo clips + LinkedIn push
  • A speaking coach at your side
  • ELC Speaker Alumni, for good
  • A seat in the Alumni Slack
  • Beer with the room
  • A boat on the Vltava, every year

Twelve nights a year across four cities. Recent rooms: Microsoft, Apify, Ataccama, Raiffeisenbank, CodeNOW, and a loft in Krakow.

Advantages speakers get

Eight outcomes for one evening of your time. This is what you get in return.

Packed ELC meetup room in Prague

01

120+ senior leaders hear you live

Monthly, in person, single track. CTOs, VPs and EMs in the seats, so your story lands with people who can act on it the same week.

02

A shortcut to the main stage

The strongest meetup talks get invited to the ELC Conference main stage: 500+ leaders last edition. Most of our conference speakers started exactly here.

03

A standing seat in the ELC Speaker Alumni Slack

A dedicated channel for ELC Speaker Alumni only: early word on offers, events and opportunities that never reach the public feed.

A glass ship wheel over a glowing Vltava, the ELC Speaker Alumni boat party graphic

04

The ELC Speaker Alumni boat on the Vltava

An annual invite-only boat party in Prague, alongside other ELC Speaker Alumni, ambassadors, donors and partners. Membership keeps paying you back after your talk is long done.

05

A recording you can point to

Your talk lands on the ELC YouTube channel, professionally cut. That video is what gets you your next stage.

06

Your name travels further than the room

A LinkedIn announcement to the community and promo clips built for you to reuse anywhere.

07

You walk on stage prepared

A professional speaking coach refines your story and delivery with you before the big day. First talk ever? We pick on the story, not the resume.

Networking and drinks after an ELC meetup talk

08

Contacts that outlast the evening

Beer with the room afterwards, and a place in a 3,100+ community across Central Europe. The people in the seats are the ones you keep running into for years.

Aiming straight for the big stage? Pitch for ELC Conference 2027 instead: 500+ leaders last edition, speakers from Netflix, Stripe and Meta.

The club, member by member

Everyone who took an ELC stage: the conference main stage and every meetup since 2024. One talk each: that is the whole entry fee, and the bar your pitch is judged against.

"Engineering & Product Optimizing Value Delivery in 2024"

Their talk titles, dates and rooms are all on the past events page. Nothing there is a product demo wearing a talk as a costume.

Topics our audience is hungry for

A starting list, not a fence. If your best story lives outside it, pitch that instead: the form has a field for exactly that.

AI-native engineering

  • Running the org where agents write most of the code: what breaks first
  • Who owns an agent's mistake? Accountability for autonomous AI in production
  • Code review is the new bottleneck: rebuilding quality gates for AI output
  • The new technical debt: how AI-written systems fail differently

Measuring what matters

  • Your token bill is growing faster than your productivity. Now what?
  • AI impact metrics that survive the CFO: beyond acceptance rates
  • Evaluating AI dev tools without the vendor drama
  • What 2,000 CEE engineering orgs should measure in 2027 (and stop measuring)

The manager's job in 2027

  • The EM role is splitting in two: pick your half
  • Leading the flat org: bigger spans, fewer managers, same humans
  • The AI-augmented EM: which parts of your job to hand to an agent
  • Back to IC: why senior leaders step off the ladder, and when you should

Talent and the human side

  • The junior crisis: who trains your next seniors when agents do the junior work
  • Hiring in 2027: please blink if you are human
  • Burnout as a team failure mode, not a personal one
  • Mentoring when learning goes quiet: growing engineers who let AI think

What wins you a speaking slot?

Every pitch is read against the same five filters, every edition. Nobody skips them.

Actionable over generic

A Monday-morning toolkit beats another framework slide.

War stories over success theater

What actually broke, and what you would do differently.

Connection over lecture

Polls, questions, energy. We want a room, not an audience.

English delivery, with pro support

We provide professional speaker coaches to refine your narrative and delivery before the big day.

Context, not sales

No vendor pitches. No product demos wearing a talk as a costume.

First talk of your life? Good. We prioritize the story over the resume, and a professional speaking coach helps you prepare if you want one.

One talk between you and the club

About 3 minutes, 9 short steps, and your answers are saved in your browser as you go, so you can leave and come back. Once we confirm your slot, we handle the rest: the room, the recording, and a speaking coach if you want one.

Submit your talk

Not pay-to-pitch. Nobody buys a slot here.

Why this room is different

ELC meetup speaker presenting to a room of engineering leaders in Prague

Everyone in the room leads engineers

CTOs, VPs, directors and engineering managers. You are not explaining what a 1:1 is. You can open at the level you actually think at.

ELC meetup hosted at Raiffeisenbank, Prague

Hosts give the room, not the slot

Microsoft, Apify, Ataccama, Make and Everpure have all hosted. None of them bought stage time. Talks are picked on content, every single edition.

Wide view of a full ELC meetup room during a talk

40+ editions of practice

Twelve nights a year across Prague, Brno, Bratislava and Krakow. The format is settled, the audience knows the drill, and nothing about your evening is an experiment.

ELC meetup audience listening during the Q&A

Questions, not polite applause

Single track means nobody is half-listening in a competing room. Expect pushback, war stories back at you, and a Q&A that runs long.

Q&A at an ELC meetup hosted at Microsoft Prague

One evening, not a marathon

Two or three talks and it is done. Your session is not buried in a nine-track grid at 4pm on day two.

Speakers on stage in front of the Engineering Leaders Community wall

The room is the community

3,100+ members across Central Europe. The people in the seats are the ones you keep running into for years afterwards.

Questions speakers ask

Do I need speaking experience to give a talk at an ELC meetup?

No. First talk of your life or your fiftieth, the bar is the same: a story the room hasn’t heard. A speaking coach and an optional dry run are there before the night if you want them.

How does ELC pick talks?

On the story, not the CV. A team lead with a real scar beats a big title with a polished deck, so tell us what broke, what you did, and what it cost you.

Do I need an invitation to submit a talk?

No. The ELC call for papers is an open, public form; nobody waits to be asked.

What do I get for speaking at an ELC meetup?

Deliver one talk and you’re a member of the speakers’ club for good. Permanent, no renewal, no small print.

Are ELC meetup talks in English?

Yes, delivery is in English. The audience spans Prague, Brno, Bratislava and Kraków, so English is the shared language of the room.
